Press release: planning permission approved

We are pleased that the Cairngorms National Park Authority has unanimously approved our application for a new sister community to Aviemore at An Camas Mòr.

This decision should allow us to deliver on the vision first proposed by Aviemore and Vicinity Community Council and will enable much needed accommodation for work, homes, recreation and community services in our area.

We should now be in a position to move forward working closely with the community and other key stakeholders to ensure all the conditions are satisfied.

The first task, already underway, is to update the survey commissioned over three years ago undertaken by the Highlands Small Communities Housing Trust. This will provide an accurate indication regarding the mix of homes and projected demand from within the community that An Camas Mòr can help to provide.
